A Palm Beach County woman called 911 to report a sanitation worker for making too much noise with his garbage truck while collecting her garbage. Then she got out of her house, climbed into the truck, and switched it off. When the worker pulled her down, she told police he had punched her in the face. Body camera footage showed the truck was raised high, making the controls unreachable without entering the vehicle. She admitted she was not seriously injured. She showed no visible injuries.
Police asked the sanitation worker if he wanted to press charges for battery and trespassing. He said yes. The woman, who had called 911 expecting the worker to be arrested, was charged with simple battery and trespassing in a conveyance. Her documented response: “He punched me in the face, and I’m the one that’s going to jail?” Yes. That is correct. That is what happened.
